Emir Sehanovic (1981) comes from Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the late 1990s he was already present in the local street art scene under the pseudonym Aorta. His biography is filled with multifaceted engagements including street art projects, solo and group exhibitions, the foundation of the artistic group Manufaktura in Tuzla, and involvement in the regional initiative Art of Asfalt. So far, Emir has exhibited in Amsterdam, Athens, Basel, Berlin, New York, Los Angeles, Ljubljana, Tokyo, Vienna, Zagreb and elsewhere. He is a regular participant in the Skver and MUU festivals, in Mali Losinj and Zagreb respectively. Emir’s influential artwork can often be seen on the pages of blogs and art magazines. His work is featured in various private and public collections, including the Artists’ Books Collection of the International Center of Graphic Arts (MGLC) in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
